Until March, sales were still in line with 2019

Due to the social isolation resulting from the New Coronavirus pandemic, and the boost in the home and construction sector, the iGUi franchise chain, a manufacturer of fiberglass-reinforced polyester (PRFV) pools, pointed out, last August, a sales index of 215% more than the same month of 2019.

According to Filipe Sisson, CEO and founder of the company, it was the best month of August in the history of the chain, which this year celebrates 25 years. “I had to convince shopkeepers that I could continue working and that the sale by phone was safe. I suggested that they schedule meetings online and, in this way, maintain security due to the Coronavirus”, he says.

Also according to the executive, digital marketing was transforming the franchisees’ daily lives. “We realized that our target audience was connected with social networks and driving the change in the franchisees’ mindset became our mission. Through UniGUi – Universidade da Piscina, we trained tenants for online sales. They realized that e-commerce had much more to offer than they could imagine “, he concludes.

According to the balance sheet of the franchisor, until March this year, sales were still aligned with the year 2019. In that month, sales fell 20% due to the pandemic. The recovery started in May, followed by June, with a growth of 54%; July, with 123%; and August with the rate of 215%.
